I've never taken the time to work it out - I reckon you'll need a decent map, a sharp pencil, some quiet time and a cup of cocao to work it out. If you can't, maybe post back here.

There is an Insel Hiddensee in the waters north of Stralsund (thanks Johann). That's as close a match as I can get for Hiddenau, despite my earlier views. Town names may have changed since the war, complicating the picture even further.

You might have a look, if you can, in the Squadron Operations book to see at what time the other aircraft bombed - it might narrow down the potential claim times.

Also, if you are a relative of one of the crew, you might be able to try the Air Historical Board to see if they have a time.

Bear in mind you may also have to consider flak claims, since more Stirlings were lost than claimed by night fighters.

Hi, guys.

Frank Scherff gave me a kick in the butt by making a gradnetz conversion utility for Excel.

I have for a long time meant to make one, but there are so many things to do, and so little time.

I have however used some hours and made one:

Please note:

It is not finished, only North and East locations are available at the moment (meaning north of 1 degree Southern Latitude and East of 0 degrees Longitude).

I have also yet to include the Arbeitstrapez, but as very few locations are given with this accuracy in the records, this is something to use as a start anyhow.

Will complete it in the following days, beginning with adding the Arbeitstrapez, and then the other quarters of the earth (NW, SO, SW).

PS! There might be some problems when closing in on Equator, I haven't checked these special areas yet, but will correct later on. (for locations giving a center of a trapez south of 0 degrees)
