Hello!

I have used AltaVista for Russian-English translations. It's faster for "screening" work than my almost non-existant Russian. Proper translation needs more time and energy.

AltaVista translator

One can use it dynamically for surfing. Copy and paste the http -address on the "Translate a Web page" window and then select "Russian to English" in the "Select from and to languages" window.

In forums, paste the address of the opening post (right-click and check properties etc.) and after then translator can be used much like you use normal forum - just click. Often one has to reload page because of some hiccup in order to get the translation.

Another online translator is PROMPT:

PROMPT is similar to AltaVista (works "dynamically"), but creates much better translations than the latter. PROMPT site is often slow and overloaded at the times I would use it, the site is in Russia?

I hope this helps some,
Kari
