			I'm not sure what Luftwaffe or flak units were there, but I do know that the 474th FG blasted a major SS Gestapo HQ that was based at the airfield on 17 Aug 44. It was a coordinated attack where the French Macquis (resistance) moved in to mop up once the 474th had completed their bombing. The mission was an unqualified success.
