Default Belgian Military Archives in Brussels

In a discussion on 12 O'Clock High! regarding what happens to our collections after we pass on, Frank Raeman wrote:

You are all quite right. Also here in Belgium, a lot of collections are being thrown away or sold as second hand stuff; I even found (locally) in the communal garbage depot about 90 photographs of the Luftwaffe whilst they were stationed at (in that time) our airfield.

Due to the fact that I'm employed in the military archives, I already arranged it that everything I was/am/will be possess, will go into a fund at the military archives in Brussels. So I am sure that it will be safe, rather then to be thrown away or to be sold.

Let's hope that every one will understand in due course that history is an important thing and that they will keep then safe for the upcoming generations.
