Hi,

For a new book I am writing on German forces in Denmark 1940-1945. I am looking for a side profile or photograph of a He 111-H from 1./ L.G.1: from early may 1940. 19 aircraft taking of from Rye in Denmark carried out an attack on the harbour at Molde in Norway on the 1. May 1940.

Also is anybody of you from Norway able to tell me were I can find information on the attack on the harbour in Norway. Is there any local archives up there or museums?

If no photograph or side profile turns up. I would like to make one myself. I have a drawing of the factory applied camouflage scheme for a He 111-H from 1940. But what were the identification codes for an aircraft from that group and what colours did the letters have?

Any info on an emblem and/ or special markings on aircrafts in that group will also be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Dan Mouritzsen

The following is a brief description of this museum from a tourist site:

"The Bunker Museum
The museum, which is located in an old German personnel bunker, houses an exhibition on the German military headquarters in Denmark during World War Two."

Further description can be found at:

http://www.museums.simonides.org/den...nkermusdk.html

From the above:

"During the second world war 24 bunkers were constructed around the harbour of Frederikshavn to protect it. The Display shows the history of the bunkers and the town during the war. In one of the positions an original 105 mm antiaircraft gun is installed."

Regards,
Richard
