Dear Steve;

In 1942 (from February to August) the Institut für Flugmedizin undertook various "tests" to examine high altitude flying and especially the possibilities of surviving high altitude emergencies. The tests" were undertaken at Dachau Concentration Camp. Needless to say that the test-persons were 190 Jews, Russians and Germans - all prisoners of the nazi system; 80-90 of them died during the "tests". These "tests" were part of the "Nürnberger Ärzteprozess" (International War Crime Tribunal against the participating Doctors)and are extremely well documented!
If you do need further informations, feel free to contact me!

Regards
Michael
