Default ju-88 identification

I have a ju-88 (or derivitive) vertical stabalizer that supposedy came from a plane shot down in estonia. It has manufacturers plates that indicate it was made by Junkers in Dessau. It also reads:
Serie: 388 3 2 46/57
Zelchn: 88 372
FM 541
All of the references to specific a/c that I have seen mention a worknumber so I am not sure what the above will provide for information.
I have seen in the past, but can't find now, a web site that listed individual a/c by serial number or other id and showed what had happened to them during the war-showing where and when they crashed or were shot down.
If anyone is familiar with that web site or can give me information as to what the mfr plate data means, I would appreciate hearing from you.
thanks, dave
