Recently, the files held by the Aust War Memorial on the Me262 have been relocated after dropping out of view for quite sometime. These files hold the paint samples and anaylsis done at the time Ken Merrick and John White were sanding back the paint that had been spayed on during the late 1950s. Further, there are a hand coloured sheets that show where different colours had been applied by the factory as well as the draft report Ken did at the time. Ken and the AWM have agreed that I can use the draft report in the creation of a book on Black X that continues to slowly come into being.

The photo survey is next on the list!!

Alan

All very interesting and will make a good addition
