Default 5/NJG 1 Oberhausen claim 14/15 June 1943

My grandfather, F/0 HD Oates, was the pilot of ED649, one of two 106 squadron Lancasters lost on the Oberhausen raid of 14/15 June 1943. The crew were initially buried in the Nordfriehof in Dusseldorf.

I see from Tony Wood's claims list that the only Lancaster claimed in the Dusseldorf area was:

15.06.43 Ofw. Fritz Schellwart 5./NJG 1 Lancaster £ Düsseldorf-Storkheim: at 6.000 m. 01.32 Film C. 2024/I Anerk: Nr.43

This claim could therefore be for ED649.

I am interested to know more and would be grateful for any leads or suggestions. Does the film have more than is shown above etc?

(Incidentally, before this, ED649 was flown by W/C GP Gibson, before he went to other duties.)
