Default Trying to find who claimed the ss Bellona II

Hya Guys, newbie here so forgive If this is posted in the wrong place!!

On the 8th october 1940 at eight mins past eight in the evening the ss Bellona II was "dive bombed" whilst 4 miles E/SE of Gourdon (near Montrose) Scotland.
She was set on fire, drifted through the night and wrecked in Strathellan bay.

From the moment she gave mayday till the gourdon lifeboat arrived she was being attacked...In total for 35 mins..

I wondered if it may be possible to see if any pilot "claimed" this ship...
The other question I have is, was anything scrambled to challenge this?
I havent a clue how I would go about finding out any of this info?
any help gratefully received guys...
Thanks.
