I have Jan Zdiarsky on 12 O'clock High! to thank for alerting me to this little gem of a museum. The location of the museum is in Krusnohori (Erzgebirge), Czech Republic. As its name denotes, much of its exhibit is devoted to the one battle on 11 Sept. 1944. However, the museum does cover other topics of interest. I will cut and paste liberally from the museum's webpage to provide the best description.
How to Get to the Museum Kovarska is in northern Bohemia 120 km from Prague, Czech Republic. Follow signs to Chomutov on route 7 turning left at the village of Krimov heading for Vejprty. At Prisecnice reservoar take the turning for Kovarska. Trains: Line No. 137 from Chomutov. The nearest Border crossing with Germany is Oberwiesenthal or Reitzenhain. The nearest International Airport is Karlovy Vary or for light aircraft the Aeroclub field at Chomutov.
