can anyone help me please. i am trying to find out the name of the pilot and or the make of plane that shot down lancaster ND910 CODE 60-F.
it was shot down over Beaulieu-les-Fontaines {Oise} in france . it was on a diversionary raid of mailly le camp and was sent to montdidier . we know it was returning to base at little staunton but didnt make it home Last edited by jez scott; 05-14-2015 at 02:03 AM. Reason: mis spelling

Hi,
Walter Stark [this is the correct spelling] was born on 29 June 1920 at Kaiserslautern. As an Oberleutnant with the I. Gruppe of Schnellkampfgeschwader 10, he was posted missing on 18 June 1944 during a mission over Normandy in a Focke-Wulf 190 fighter-bomber. Cheers, Andrew A.
