From TOCH!:
John Manrho NJG 3 Wed Aug 11, 2024 20:30 81.205.242.244 I believe you mean Ju 88G-6, WNr. 621582, D5+LH of 4./NJG 3. Pilot was Oblt. August Györy (RK-träger and Staffelführer). This was a "Nachtschlachteinsatz", nothing to do with Bodenplatte. All crew killed, Bordfunker was found on Dutch territory and now in Ysselsteyn Cemetery. Györy and other BF buried in Weeze. Bordwart never found. I believe 4./NJG 3 was stationed at Husum airfield, take off approx. 23.50 hours. Much can be found in ADI(K) No. 60/1945 which concerns another crew of 4./NJG 3 which did not return that night. 5./NJG 3 and 6./NJG 3 were based at Schleswig according to ADI(K) No. 114/1945. Give my regards to Jan, long time no see! |
